Stowe Mountain Resort

If you have decided to take your next ski vacation to Stowe Mountain in Vermont, congratulations. Often when thinking of a destination for our ski vacation the first things that comes to mind is Vail or some place in Colorado, or perhaps California. However, With great snow, fewer people Vermont is a excellent place to indulge in that ski vacation you have been wanting to take.
The Stowe Mountain Resort is actually located in the town of surprise Stowe, Vermont. The Town comprises Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak. Because of the harsher terrain most of the advanced to intermediate runs are located at Mount Mansfield, while the beginner experience is more likely to be found at Spruce Peak.
As for the resort itself it has a base elevation of 1,559 feet and a top elevation of nearly 3,719 feet. There are 485 acres of skiable terrain with a summit yearly snowfall of nearly 333 inches. That's enough fresh powder to keep things moving with your family and friends. There are 116 total ski runs between Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak, they break down as follows: 16% for beginners, 59% for intermediate and 25% for experts or advanced skiers. The lift system is state of art with a total of 13 lifts. 1 inter-mountain transfer (believe me this is a life saver), one gondola, 1 high speed summit gondola, 3 high speed quads, 3 triples, 4 doubles, and 2 surface lifts. The resort has an hourly lift capacity of 15,516 skiers, which is more than any other resort in the east.
Right now there is a 400 million dollars expansion project underway too. So Take a consideration of Stowe it'll be worth your time.
